A collective voice
The association is asked for its view when criminal procedure changes, and engages jointly with the Law Society's Criminal Practice Committee on matters affecting the criminal bar.
Continuing legal education
Sessions in criminal law and procedure directed at counsel in practice, following developments in the courts and in the statutes.
The Annual Lecture
The association's standing public address, given each year on a question facing the criminal defence bar.
Community Court work
Members appear without charge for needy accused persons in the Community Court, as the association undertook in 2006.
